Supported platforms:


FanDraft allows the use of Hosted Custom Audio files for use in the "Custom SFX" feature. The "Custom SFX" can be played from within the audio menu in the draft room.


There are two supported platforms that you can use for these types of songs, which include:

  • Dropbox
  • Google Drive

Below are instructions for how to properly upload an audio file to Dropbox / Google Drive, and properly "share" the file for use within FanDraft

Dropbox Instructions:

  1. Login to your Dropbox.com account, or create a free account if you don't have one.
  2. After logging into your Dropbox.com account, click on the "Upload files" link.
  3. Select the MP3 or Wav file on your computer that you would like to upload to Dropbox.
  4. Once the upload is complete, click on the "Share" button. 
  5. Next, click on the text link that says "Create link".
  6. Finally, click on the link that says "Copy link".
  7. In another browser tab, open your league in FanDraftOnline.com 
  8. Click on the "Audio" tab.
  9. You can now PASTE the link captured from Dropbox into the FanDraft custom audio SFX field.
  10. Click the Update Sound FX button to save changes.

Google Drive Instructions:

  1. Login to your Google Drive Account.
  2. Click on the "+ New" button and select "File Upload" from the drop-down.
  3. Select the MP3 file on your computer that you would like to upload to Google Drive.
  4. Click on the recently uploaded file, which can be found on the bottom right corner of the screen.
  5. Your file will open with the browser. On this screen select the 3 verticle dots (...) which represent the "More Actions" tab on the top-right corner of the interface.
  6. Select "Share" from the drop-down
  7. On the next screen, click the text link titled "Change link to [YOUR NAME WILL BE HERE]"
  8. Click on your name drop-down...and select "Anyone with link". 
  9. The final step in Drive is to then click the "Copy link" button.
  10. In another browser tab, open your league in FanDraftOnline.com 
  11. Click on the "Audio" tab.
  12. You can now PASTE the link captured from Google Drive  into the FanDraft custom audio SFX field.
  13. Click the Update Sound FX button to save changes.

Troubleshooting

  • Safari doesn't play well with Google Drive. We recommend the use of the Chrome browser to avoid running into conflicts.

  • Dropbox and Google Drive accounts have data transfer limits. If for some reason your Team Songs stop playing, you may want to investigate if you have hit your monthly max monthly limits.

  • If an MP3 file is not working, it may not be properly encoded, and thus incompatible. You can double-check this by testing in your browser through the Dropbox/Drive's app player.
